“In the Midst of Life. Tales of Soldiers and Civilians” includes collected works by the American classic, journalist, author of sardonic and horrible stories, and American Civil War veteran Ambrose Bierce (1842—1913). He took part in the Mexican Civil War, which became a source of inspiration for writing these stories, yet the author is not interested in ideology.
